Gerry Christensen, a principal member of our telecommunications faculty, is a widely known and respected presenter, consultant, and author. Gerry’s accomplished career spans 23 years in planning, engineering, product management, and business development for telecommunications networks, applications, and services.

Gerry’s exposure to a wide range of technologies and applications has equipped him with some specialized experience in the areas of intelligent networks and applications (including mobile messaging, mobile marketing, and prepaid wireless), next generation networks (including IMS, SDP, and NGN OSS/BSS systems), and mobile location services/technologies.

Gerry was co-founder and CTO for Zoove, a leader in direct response mobile marketing.  He led Technology R&D for VeriSign's Solutions Development Center and was also responsible for NGN (IMS, SDP, and OSS/BSS), wireless data and content business development. He served as Director of Product Management for SignalSoft, a leading provider of location-based services infrastructure and middleware, where he built and led the team responsible for all mobile location service software products globally. Christensen has also held various technical management positions at Illuminet, BellSouth Cellular, and BellSouth Telecommunications. 

Gerry is a published author or coauthor of several books and research reports including Data on SS7, Yes 2 Prepay, Wireless Intelligent Networking, and Mobile Positioning and Location Management.

Gerry's education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is a registered Professional Engineer.
